Hampshire Waste Strategy

Project Integra, progressive integrated waste management system

In 1995 the Hampshire Waste Strategy was adopted, known as ‘Project Integra’. It is the most progressive integrated waste management system in Britain and provides sustainable waste management for all the domestic waste in the country.

Project Integra is a unique partnership between Hampshire County Council, the two Unitary Authorities of Southampton and Portsmouth and Veolia.
The integrated waste management strategy relies on handling waste in a four pronged approach, find out more here!
