Recycling and waste collection and street cleansing services for Camden Council
The London Borough of Camden has contracted the UK’s leading resource management company, Veolia, to manage a range of environmental services in the borough for up to 16 years.
The eight year contract with a possible eight year extension is worth an estimated £338 million. Veolia continue to deliver Camden’s recycling, waste collection and street cleansing services as well as commercial waste collections and winter maintenance, extending a relationship which goes back to 2003. In addition, Veolia will be responsible for new services including public engagement, customer service and marketing commercial waste services.
Starting in April 2017 the focus of the contract will be on maintaining high service standards and delivering solutions to increase efficiency, provide effective management of resources and continually improve services. Veolia has pledged to work in partnership with the Council to increase recycling, reduce emissions and support the local economy through local employment and purchasing.
