Through Veolia’s partnership with Southwark Council, we’ve been able to make energy provision more sustainable for local people and successfully implement a service in a logistically challenging urban setting. Councillor Ian Wingfield, cabinet member for environment and public realm, said:  “This award is an excellent achievement. We are proud to be leading the way with our partners, Veolia, in providing alternative options to heat generation. We’ve taken on today’s current challenges around rising gas prices and high carbon emissions head on with an innovative scheme that means that we’re able to bring about significant environmental benefits to Southwark residents.”
