Birmingham Household Recycling Centres open longer

Household Recycling Centres across Birmingham will be open for longer in the evenings over the summer months, making it easier for residents to recycle and dispose of household and garden waste.

From the 1st April until the end of October, opening hours across the city’s five Household Recycling Centres, operated by Veolia, will be as follows:

Holford Drive, Perry Barr 8am – 8pm 8am – 6pm (no pre-booked vans after 4pm*)
James Road, Tyseley 8am – 8pm 8am – 6pm (no pre-booked vans after 4pm*)
Lifford Lane, Kings Norton 8am – 8pm 8am – 6pm (no pre-booked vans after 4pm*)
Norris Way, Sutton Coldfield 8am – 8pm 8am – 4.30pm
Tameside Drive, Castle Bromwich 8am – 8pm 8am – 4.30pm

 
*If you are planning to use a van or large trailer, you must pre-book a slot ahead of your visit by calling the booking office on 0203 567 3915 Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm.
 
Residents planning on visiting the household recycling centres at busier times such as Easter and May bank holiday weekends are reminded that they can now “view the queue” at each site, to help plan their journey ahead of time.
