Birmingham’s household recycling centre Summer opening

Household recycling centres (HRCs) across Birmingham are now open for longer during British summer time 

From today until  31 October 2019 the city’s HRCs will be open for longer, enabling Birmingham citizens to recycle garden waste, plastics, paper, cardboard, textiles, batteries, cooking oil, coffee cups and much more.

The HRCs are open at the following times:

  • Tyseley Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat & Sun 8am-6pm (no vans after 4pm)
  • Perry Barr Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat & Sun 8am-6pm (no vans after 4pm)
  • Kings Norton Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat & Sun 8am-6pm (no vans after 4pm)
  • Sutton Coldfield  Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat & Sun 8am-4:30pm (no vans after 4pm)
  • Castle Bromwich - Mon-Fri 8am-8pm Sat & Sun 8am-4:30pm (no vans after 4pm)

All vans and large trailers must be booked in through the Van Booking Centre by calling 0203 567 3915 Monday-Friday 8am-4pm.

As the household recycling centres get busier throughout the warmer months, visitors are reminded to check the View-the-Queue webcams across the sites to make visits more efficient.
