£10,000 of EnviroGrant funding on offer to local community groups in Birmingham

Are you a community group, school or charity based in Birmingham? Do you have a project that is in need of a cash injection that could benefit the environment, the community or both? If so, the Veolia EnviroGrant scheme may be the answer you’re looking for.

The EnviroGrant Scheme is now open for applications until 30 November to help Birmingham based community groups, societies and charities to improve the environment around them. Eligible groups can apply for grants up to £1,000 and a minimum of 10 groups will be awarded a piece of £10,000 pot.

Veolia is looking for exciting new projects to fund that will bring more environmental awareness to Birmingham to make the city more sustainable. Projects that look at reducing waste and single-use plastics, conserving natural resources, and reusing and recycling where possible will be favoured when awarding the grants.

Mark Powell, General Manager of Veolia Birmingham, said “We are delighted to open applications for the EnviroGrant scheme once again to local, not for profit groups. It’s always great to see the variety of applications that get submitted making it very difficult to choose between them.

This year we’re really looking forward to seeing more projects focusing on reducing waste and single-use plastics and sharing sustainability best practices with the wider community.”
