Birmingham - Waste Awareness and Education

All educational visits are currently on hold. Please check back for further updates.

Working in partnership with the local schools and education groups of Birmingham

At Veolia we believe it is vital that everyone understands the consequences of creating and managing waste.

We work in partnership with local schools and education groups (such as the scouts) to provide education about recycling and facts about how to reduce your waste.  We visit schools to deliver a waste education programme focusing on waste minimisation and recycling activities. Our officers can provide advice on reducing, reusing and recycling school waste and waste at home. They also deliver practical lessons and waste-themed assemblies for the whole school.  Schools can also visit our education centre which is based at our site in James Road, Tyseley.  Please use the Contact Us facility on this website to find out more.

At Veolia in Birmingham we encourage our staff to use a paid half-day to get involved in community projects within their local area.
Veolia takes corporate and social responsibility seriously and is involved with a number of local organisations to help improve community facilities and foster good relationships.
