Haringey Administrator Wins Apprenticeship Award

Congratulations to one of Veolia Haringey's own

Haringey sends its congratulations to one of its own, as Services Support Administrator Kathleen Hajbok was selected as one of the winners of Veolia's Apprentice & Graduate of the Year Awards.

Kathleen, who qualifies as an Apprentice due to having undertaken her Business Administration Level 3 course, triumphed in the category of Living The Values, and was given the award for always delivering excellence, supporting others and fostering effective teamwork. If a team member needs a boost or assistance, she notices that and acts upon it with unsparing enthusiasm. She is more than doing the job - she makes a difference.

Kathleen said: "Thank you so much - I am very proud of my achievements and to win at the awards ceremony was very much unexpected. It was an honour to be invited to such a prestigious ceremony and that alone was an achievement but to win just makes it even more special.

"For me, the Business Administration apprenticeship was about progressing and being able to better myself - at the same time, being committed to my work and supporting my colleagues within Haringey and Veolia. Because of my dedication, which I see as "just me doing my job", it is recognised by so many of my colleagues. It is challenging, sometimes, but every day is exciting and the apprenticeship has given me the opportunity to excel.

"I've built up the confidence to explore unfamiliar areas that I would not have ventured into before and because of this, I am now completing the CMI Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship which will further my knowledge and career with Veolia.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank People Development and my colleagues at Haringey for their help & support throughout the duration of the apprenticeship and for giving me the opportunity to be in the position that I am today."
