Haringey’s War on Waste Awards is back!

We are really excited to announce that following the success of previous two ceremonies, the Haringey Veolia annual War on Waste awards are back and we are on the hunt for the borough’s fantastic waste warriors and recycling heroes

Having worked with many of the schools in Haringey this past year we know that there is some great work to showcase and individuals and teams to acknowledge. The War on Waste awards has been designed to recognise and celebrate all your hard work and dedication in winning the war on waste and we really look forward to receiving your nominations.

This year’s War on Waste Award categories include:
• Primary School Pupil of the Year
• Secondary School Pupil of the Year
• Primary School Eco Group of the Year
• Secondary School Eco Group of the Year
• Best Class War on Waste Initiative
• Best School War on Waste Initiative
• Primary School Teacher of the Year
• Secondary School Teacher of the Year
• Premises / Office Staff Member of the Year
• Parent / Volunteer of the Year

If you feel that there’s a key pupil, staff member of eco-group who has gone the extra mile to make a difference in your school, acknowledge their achievements and nominate them today!

Schools are allowed to make nominations in as many categories as they wish – but only one nomination per category please. To make your nominations please download this application form. The deadline for all nominations is 5pm on Friday 6th June 2014. All nominees will be invited to our very exciting awards ceremony which will take place on Wednesday 18 June at Park View Secondary School from 4 – 6pm.
