Veolia Staff volunteering to work the land at Skelton Grange

Veolia is committed to supporting local communities through workforce volunteering. In Leeds our local contract staff have forged links with Skelton Grange Environment Centre and in December they got their hands dirty by clearing space to create outdoor class room spaces where children can learn about their local environment and the importance of the local eco system.

Paul Fowler General Manager Veolia Leeds said ‘This is the first of many volunteering opportunities that we’ll be supporting in the Leeds area. We’re very keen to develop a reputation for being a good neighbour and a key stakeholder in the local community.

He added  ‘Once our Recycling and Energy Recovery Facility is operational we will ensure that  our workforce are encouraged to volunteer in the community and develop long term partnerships with organisations like Skelton Grange.
