Croydon

veolia Croydon

Veolia have a 15 year contract with Croydon Council which began in 2003. We are responsible for emptying the bins of the 139,000 households in the borough and for street cleansing.

We have recently helped expand the recycling service to include the collection of mixed plastics and food waste, helping residents to recycle even more.

Recycling and Refuse

In Croydon we are currently recycling 40%. Thank you for recycling! Let's keep a good thing going.

Residents who live in houses can recycle the following items in their blue and green boxes:

  • Please remove all bottle lids
  • Small amounts of shredded paper
  • Junk mail and envelopes (including windows)

No Thanks

  • Plastic packaging
  • Broken glass, window panes or Pyrex
  • Crisp packets or sweet wrappers

Residents in flats can recycle the following items:

Place clothes, shoes and linen in a bag on top of your green or blue box and they will be collected at the same time.

We also operate a food waste collection.
