Veolia signs contract with Jobcentre Plus

All Veolia job opportunities to be advertised on the Jobcentre Plus website

All job opportunities that Veolia have will be advertised on the Jobcentre Plus website for potential recruits to apply for. Additionally, Veolia recruitment will be supported at a local level with initiatives and solutions managed by Jobcentre Plus regional account managers.

The opportunities are endless and jobs include the recycling assistant encouraging local residents to put their recyclables in the right bin, the sales representative competing to win new business and the engineer trying to optimise the efficiency of a treatment facility.

Veolia will be helping out with a variety of measures to support people into employment, e.g. holding information sessions, and sector specific flexible training events that prepare potential new recruits by providing them with the knowledge to progress through Veolia’s application and interview process.

Tom Spaul, Chief Operating Officer at Veolia Environmental Services said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Jobcentre Plus on a national basis to help potential recruits gain jobs with us and develop their skills and encourage their progress. This announcement builds on our commitment to recruit locally whenever possible which we signed up to at the beginning of last year.”

Celia Oke, Senior Account Manager at Jobcentre Plus added: “It is encouraging to see Veolia Environmental Services is actively dedicated to partner with Jobcentre Plus by supporting our key priority to get Britain working. Jobcentre Plus needs to harness a wide range of talent, ideas and good practice, this requires the support of businesses such as Veolia Environmental Services.”
