FAQs

Can anyone book a Recycling Live session?

Due to the way our programme is funded, we are only able to work with schools and groups that fall within Merseyside (Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral) or Halton. We will ask for your postcode at the time of booking.

What ages is it suitable for?

Our sessions are suitable for pupils in Year 3 up to adults. The Education Officer will adapt the language and content accordingly.

When and what time will the sessions be delivered?

Just like an actual visit, you can request a date and time suitable for you and your availability. We are unable however to offer evening or weekend visits at this time.

How much notice do you need?

Bookings will be taken subject to availability but we recommend at least 10 days notice.

How to Book?

Booking is easy. For teachers, click on the Educational Group link on this page.  If you are booking a session on behalf of a group of adults (for example U3A or other adult group), click on the Community Group link and from this we will reserve a day in the diary for you and then individual participants will have to register to attend.

Is there a charge?

Our virtual sessions are free.

Can I cancel or change the session?

We understand that things happen which may mean you can’t make your session. Just let us know as soon as you can by email and we will work with you to find an alternative date and time and gladly reschedule.

Will we be able to ask questions during the stream?

Yes. Attendees will be able to use the ‘chat box’ during the stream at any time or ask the Education Officer directly.  We will aim to answer the questions live during the session.

What happens on the day?

In your email confirmation you will get a meeting code and joining instructions. The Education Officer will only allow those registered as attendees to access the stream and this way we are able to keep your session secure. At the end of the session you will be asked to leave first and then the Education Officer will close the meeting.

What if the technology doesn’t work?

We have tested our technology and are confident it won’t fail but if something goes awry we will work with you on a case by case basis to reschedule.  If you want to do a test ‘meet’ in advance, we are happy to set aside time to do this for you.

What about safeguarding?

All attendees must register in advance and will be sent a link to click on in a  booking confirmation email.  For security reasons we ask that the link is not shared. Only people that have been invited by the Education Officer will be permitted to join the session.

On booking teacher’s will receive a document about our safeguarding measures.
