Merseyside residents encouraged to Be Safe on Site

The Veolia Safety Bus visited Merseyside HWRCs this week to promote the Be Safe on Site campaign.

If you visited a Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC) this week you may have seen the Veolia Safety Bus. The bus toured the region to give out tips and advice on how Merseyside residents can be safer when using the HWRCs, which are run by Veolia on behalf on Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority.

The bus visited 4 sites in Southport, Ravenhead, Bidston and Sefton Meadows.

HWRCs are busy places with many things going on at once, most accidents are small but can be avoided by following the safety advice given on sites. The Safety Bus and Be Safe on Site campaign aim to increase awareness of how residents can use HWRCs safely.
