Uniformed Group Visits

Find out more about what the visitor experience offers Scout and Girl Guide Association groups based in Merseyside & Halton.

Through a presentation and a tour of the Materials Recovery Facility, we cover:

  • What the young people and their families can put in their recycling bins
  • What is contamination
  • What happens to the waste and recycling after it has been collected.

Part of our commitment in helping you Recycle Right is through our free education programme. We are asking all groups that make a booking to commit to undertake one or more actions back at base or at home and to tell us how it went. Easy really!

A visit to Gillmoss Recycling Discovery Centre is an ideal way to help your group achieve a range of badges.

For Beavers & Cubs: Environmental Conservation and Global Issues badge

For Rainbows and Brownies: Recycling and the Environment badge
