Veolia’s contribution to sustainable healthcare recognised

Success for Healthcare team at the IHEEM Awards

IHEEM, the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management, held their combined Ireland and Northern Ireland conference and exhibition in Croke Park on the 16th and 17th of May.

We are delighted to announce that our work in making the healthcare sector in Ireland more sustainable through our Energy Performance Contracts was recognised  as we won the Sustainable Organisation of the Year Award.

These contracts have delivered significant cost and carbon savings to both private and public healthcare facilities in Ireland over many years. In particular, our work with the Mater Hospital and St James’s Hospital in Dublin is leading the way in helping major public hospitals meet the HSEs carbon reduction targets, improve the patient environment and reduce costs.

In addition, we also won the Sustainability Champion award. The judges described the stand as "a great example of paper free yet informative with a full scope of our services available to view in an innovative and sustainable way".
