During January, the Notts Recycles Pledge campaign encouraged residents to think of ways they could start 2021 in an environmentally friendly way. For each pledge made by Notts residents, £1 was donated to the County Council Chairman's chosen charity My Sight Nottinghamshire.
Research by leading resource management company Veolia (Nottinghamshire County Council’s waste contractors) reveals that those in the East Midlands who show their love for the planet and kindness to others stand a better chance of finding love themselves.
Nottinghamshire residents are reminded that opening hours at the County’s Recycling Centres change at Christmas. Veolia (Nottinghamshire County Council’s recycling and waste contractors) will be running normal opening hours (8am – 4pm) over the festive period apart from Christmas Day, Boxing Day (26th Dec) and New Year’s Day, when the sites will be closed.
