Nottinghamshire residents who are thinking about a spot of decorating have the chance to paint their homes for free, thanks to the Nottinghamshire Community RePaint scheme run by Veolia (Nottinghamshire County Council’s waste contractors). Community RePaint Nottinghamshire at Calverton, Warsop, Newark and Beeston Recycling Centres provide residents, local groups and schools free paint donated by the public for reuse.
If you'd like to pick up some free paint, call Nottinghamshire County Council on 0300 500 80 80 to reserve a slot. Pre-booking is essential, colours and types of paint cannot be guaranteed.

Richard Allen, Contract Logistics Manager for Veolia Nottinghamshire says: “It’s far better for paint to be reused rather than disposed of, so if you’ve never given Community RePaint a go, book a time slot and come and pick up some free paint.”
Councillor John Cottee, Chair of Communities and Place Committee at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “It is a great opportunity for people to take part in a scheme that is environmentally friendly and pick up some free paint. This scheme is good for the environment as it means there is less wastage.”
