Here are some examples of how Veolia's biomass experts have delivered real benefits

Veolia has many years experience in the field of energy plant development, operation and management so we can design your scheme, project manage the build, then operate and maintain it – including managing the fuel supply.

The development will be tailored for your needs in terms of heat load, electricity requirement, project costs, investment and energy efficiency.

Where necessary we can also meter usage and bill customers accordingly, help to finance the scheme and access grants on your behalf, where applicable.

Energy markets expertise

The Veolia Energy Markets Team works with clients to achieve the right accreditation for projects to maximise the benefit of these schemes thereby boosting return on investment. The team is also very experienced in negotiating with the major utilities to achieve the best possible price for energy.

The Renewables Obligation

The Renewables Obligation (RO) is one of the main support mechanisms for large-scale renewable electricity projects in the UK. It places an obligation on UK electricity suppliers to source an increasing proportion of the electricity they supply from renewable sources.

The knowledge and experience of the team is available to help design projects to achieve accreditation and to prepare monthly output data submissions to OFGEM and Fuel Measurement and Sampling and Sustainability obligations.

Renewables Obligation Certificates (ROCs)

ROCs are certificates issued to operators of accredited renewable generating stations for the renewable electricity they generate. Veolia’s energy team help power plant owners comply with the Renewable Objective and the receive the ROCs they are eligible for.

Feed-in Tariffs (FIT)

For smaller renewable projects, the Feed-in Tariff Scheme is more appropriate. Veolia’s renewable energy experts can advise project developers on registering for the Feed-in Tariff scheme and what payments can be expected under the scheme.
