Springtime Nursery School and Day Nursery, in Thorpe Road, will make the outdoor space more appealing to the children by adding planters and hanging baskets filled with insect-loving plants.
Nursery Manager Pippa Spink said: "We are a community day nursery providing full day care and funded places. We support children with a range of special educational needs by offering learning opportunities and activities, both indoor and outdoors. We are very grateful for the Veolia Water funding."
Veolia Water Central Managing Director, Richard Bienfait, said: "Veolia Water is delighted to support local groups through our Community Investment Fund. We increased the fund from £30,000 in 2010 to £50,000 this year as we had so many worthy applications.
"Veolia Water cares for its local community and we hope the Community Investment Fund will make a difference to the groups that have been selected this year," he added.
A committee of Veolia Water staff - many of whom live locally - allocated the money and will be visiting some of the successful projects to see for themselves how the money will benefit the organisations.
Two other local groups benefitted from this year's community funding: Home Start Spelthorne received £600 towards training, and Bagshot Cricket Club received £800 towards a new access road and clubhouse.
