Disruption to waste and recycling collections

Industrial action on Friday 1 April by the GMB union will delay waste and recycling collections

Due to the Industrial Action by members of the GMB union, waste and recycling collections will be disrupted on Friday 1 April 2016.  We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

We ask residents to leave out their black bins or blue bins and boxes if they haven’t been collected on Friday, for collections to be made as soon as possible.

Extra crews will be working on Saturday and Sunday to make collections.

Francis Drew, Contract Collections Manager at Veolia said: "We hope some collections will be made on Friday, but if your waste is not collected as scheduled it will hopefully be collected either on Saturday or Sunday.”

All Household Waste Recycling Centres are open throughout the weekend.  From Friday 1 April 2016 the sites begin summer hours, opening 10am to 6pm.

We will provide service updates on our website at www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield and on our Twitter feed @Recycle4Shef

The Veolia call centre is open 8am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 12 noon on Saturday and Sunday, on 0114 2734567.
