With spring on the horizon, it will soon be time to say goodbye to frozen fingers, and hello again to green fingers, as people get back out into their gardens.
Veolia working in partnership with Sheffield City Council, is again pleased to offer residents a garden waste collection service, starting at the beginning of April. It’s easy to use, and garden waste will be collected from people’s homes in the green bin every two weeks between spring and autumn.
For just £51.50 a total of 16 collections will be made. Or people can take advantage of the discounted offer and sign up for two years’ receiving 32 collections for just £98.30.
Residents are being urged to act quickly because the offer won’t be available for long. The deadline for signing up to receive all 16 collections in 2019, and to take advantage of the two year service in 2019 - 2020, is Friday 15th March.
“With garden waste collections costing from as little as £1.50 per week, this fantastic service is great value, and means people can get rid of their garden waste without having to leave their homes.
“I recommend that people sign up as soon as possible so they can get the maximum benefit from the service.”
If you don’t have a green bin, a new one can be provided one for an additional £20.
People who miss the deadline of 15 March will be able to sign up at a later date but may pay a higher rate per collection and fewer collections will be made.
