With Spring fast approaching, it will soon be time to say goodbye to frost-bitten fingers, and hello again to green fingers as you get back into your garden, and watch those flowers grow.
Veolia, working in partnership with Sheffield City Council, is again delighted to be able to offer residents a garden waste collection service.
The service starts at the end of March. It’s really easy to use, and your garden waste will be collected from your home in your green bin every two weeks between spring and autumn.
At just £50.60 for 16 collections, not only is this year’s service more than £5 cheaper than last year, you will also receive 16 collections rather than the 15 provided in 2017.
Plus for the first time ever you can choose to sign up for two years and save even more money. For £95.90 you will receive 32 collections (16 in 2018 and 16 in 2019) and this includes a 10% discount on the cost of the 2019 service.
But hurry, this offer won’t be around for ever. The deadline for signing up to receive all 16 collections in 2018, and to take advantage of the two year service, is Friday 9th of March and so you need to act fast.
Councillor Bryan Lodge, Cabinet Member for Environment, said: “I’m delighted that we have been able to reduce the price of the garden waste service and at the same time, increase the number of collections. I recommend that people sign up as soon as possible so they can get the maximum benefit from the service.“
If you don’t have a green bin, no problem; we can provide one to you for an additional £20.
So, go on, give garden waste collections the thumbs up and sign up at www.veolia.co.uk/sheffield or call 0114 273 4567.
