Happy New Year to everyone in Sheffield from Veolia and Sheffield City Council.
Let’s make 2016 the year we Reduce, Reuse and Recycle more than ever to make Sheffield even greener.
From unwanted Christmas trees, to old televisions, computers and bikes, the end of the festive period is often a time where you need to get rid of bulky household waste.
In Sheffield, you can dispose of your old Christmas tree, or other bulky household waste for free by taking it to one of Sheffield’s five Household Waste Recycling Centres, or you can arrange a collection from your home using Veolia’s chargeable bulky waste collection service.
Francis Drew (Operations Manager at Veolia) said: ‘Household Waste Recycling Centres are located across Sheffield. Our site supervisors will be on hand to direct you to the correct containers, and where possible your waste will be re-used or recycled.’
If you wish to visit any of the Household Waste Recycling Centres in vans, pick-ups or trailers and have not applied for a permit, please use the booking in procedure on the Veolia website. Please note there is a height barrier at all sites of 1.8m/5’11”.
If you don’t have transport, or if you would prefer to have your items of bulky waste collected from your home, you can use Veolia’s chargeable bulky waste collection service. This service is for items of household waste that won’t fit inside your wheeled bin, and provides a convenient collection service from your own home. This is a chargeable service, so please visit our website for further information.
