Update on waste and recycling collections – Sunday 4th March 2018

Our crews have been out working hard this weekend to clear any backlog to empty those bins/boxes that were missed this week due to the heavy snow and icy conditions.

If you haven’t received a collection yet, please leave your bin/box out, where safe to do so, until it has been emptied as our crews will be out again tomorrow.

We’d like to thank all residents for their messages of support for our crews over this difficult period, and through Twitter we’ve had many thanks such as ‘Veolia out this morning doing a fantastic job in difficult conditions’ and ‘Got up the hill in the snow on the third attempt well done’. These messages are really appreciated.

All Household Waste Recycling Centres will be operating as normal tomorrow, with Longley Avenue West, Beighton, Deepcar, High Green and Blackstock Road from 10am – 4pm. However we would ask residents to check before traveling as if conditions deteriorate they may be forced to close early.

We also apologise for any inconvenience caused and we will continue to review conditions and will keep you updated via our website.
