What Staffordshire children learnt about recycling in sessions at Veolia Four Ashes
The sessions focused on how household items we might throw away can have a new lease of life. Children aged five to eight years got stuck in making bunny rabbits from cardboard kitchen towel rolls and egg box cars.
Hilary Hampton, Communications and Education Manager for Veolia said “We have had a brilliant day. All of the children really embraced the importance of reusing and recycling.
“Some of the things they have made are amazing and all from items some people just put in the bin. Today we tried to teach everyone that these items are waiting to become something new. A tin of baked beans can go on to be a part in a car!”
