Staffordshire EnviroGrant Scheme opens for 2018
Veolia, the UK’s leading Resource Management Company, today opened up this year's Staffordshire EnviroGrant Scheme. The grant scheme offers amounts of funding (up to £1,000) to local groups as part of the company’s partnership with Staffordshire County Council.
The EnviroGrant Scheme is a community fund to which not-for-profit community groups based in Staffordshire can apply for grants of up to £1,000 for projects that aim to improve their local environment or the quality of life for their local communities. All applications will be considered on their individual merit.
The closing date for applications is October 29th and grants will be awarded in early December.
Steve Mitchell, Director for Veolia said: “This scheme proved very popular last year and made a real difference to the successful local groups and communities who need additional funding. We would encourage local groups to apply no matter how small the request is."
Staffordshire County Councillor Gill Heath, Cabinet Member for Communities and the Environment, said: “The EnviroGrant Scheme will provide a welcomed boost to community groups across Staffordshire and could help to kick-start a range of projects.
