Telford - Bank Holiday Recycling & Waste Collections Reminder

Householders in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin are being reminded that their recycling and waste will be collected a day later following the early May bank holiday – for this week only.

As a result of the early May bank holiday, collections  will be a day later than normal. For example, collections that would normally be made on Monday 6th May will instead be made on Tuesday 7th May, continuing like this throughout the week with collections that would normally be made on Friday 10th May being made on Saturday 11th May. Collections will return to normal on Monday 13th May.

Any residents unsure about which day they should put out their recycling or waste, or wanting more information about how to recycle, are asked to check their collection calendar or their council’s website at www.telford.gov.uk/recycling or www.shropshire.gov.uk/binday

Tim Walters, Communications Manager at Veolia, said: “I would also like to remind people who may be having a clear out that the Household Recycling Centres are open as usual over the bank holiday  from 9am-5pm each day.”
