Our Junior Street Champions scheme has already been awarded to six schools within the borough, with new schools signing up each week. The programme offers seven workshops, of which each school must choose three. The workshops cover what can and cannot be recycled, how to reduce waste in our lunch boxes and composting; where we bring along a compost bin to your school to keep and create your very own compost. Sharon Clayton of Ladygrove Primary School, said "The Junior Street Champions workshops are a great way to enage with pupils on the importance of recycling. By working alongside Veolia we can help to educate the next generation on how best to reduce, reuse and recycle so we can take care of our world. The workshops are fun and entertaining and a great way for everyone to learn, including teachers!"
