All residents who have been allocated a new container should have received their bin by 10 May. Residents who have their recycling collected in bags will receive them in the next few weeks. After that date, any resident who has not yet received their bin (and who haven’t already made contact with the Customer Contact Centre) should use the on line form which is available on the Telford & Wrekin website www.telford.gov.uk/recycling or ring 01952 384 384.
Residents who do not wish to keep their red boxes for their own use should leave them out (empty) on the next working day following their recycling collection and Veolia will pick them up within three working days. Residents are also being reminded that they must have their purple top bin (for plastic, cans & glass), together with their blue bag (for paper and card) out for collection by 7am. If the containers are not out by 7am, Veolia will not return to collect them.
Speaking today, Jon Callaghan, General Manager for Veolia said: “The new recycling service is going well and it has been good to see residents embracing the change. Our community engagement team has been out and about across the Borough in supermarkets, garden centres and other public places and have been encouraged by the positive responses from the public about the new service”.
