Where does our recycling go?

Veolia has launched a brand new short film which explains exactly what happens to the recycling from Telford and Wrekin.
Veolia, the Telford and Wrekin contactor for recycling has produced a video to show that it takes just 12 weeks for a recycled milk carton to be back on the shelf for us to pick up again in our weekly shop.
The film shows the journey of items such as tin cans and plastics that are collected in households across the borough and how much of a difference our efforts at home make to reducing waste.
Sarah Maythorne, Community Liaison Officer for Veolia said “We know that the residents of Telford and Wrekin must be curious about what happens to their recycling. From collections at the kerbside to reprocessing, our short film shows what we do every day at Veolia.
“The more we can recycle as a borough the better. We are constantly striving to find new ways to reduce, reuse and recycle products that we all use in our homes. We want to thank the people of Telford and Wrekin for stepping up and recycling as much as they can.”
