Assisted Collection

The Assisted Collection Service is provided for householders who are unable to take their bin to the kerbside because of disability or ill health.

Special arrangements are made for the collection teams to collect your bins from where they are stored outside your property for collection, and return them after they have been emptied.

How to apply for an assisted collection

Option 1: Download, print  and complete the form below

Option 2: Fill in the online form to make an Assisted Collection request.

Option 3: Call us on 0114 273 4567 and we will send you the form to fill in. If you foresee any difficulties in completing the form, please inform the Call Centre Agent at the time of your call, so alternative arrangements can be made.

Whichever option you choose to apply for assisted collection, you will be informed of the decision by letter. If you have qualified,  you will receive a full assisted collection service five days after receipt of your confirmation letter.

Bulky items, furniture and household appliances can be taken to one of Sheffield's five Household Waste Recycling Centres or a collection can be arranged for certain items from your property.
