Recycling Sites

Recycling Sites

Kerbside collections and recycling FAQs

Recycling sites are located across the city in convenient places like supermarket car parks, leisure centres and pub car parks.

Recycling Sites are a great option for recycling items that cannot be recycled from home. You can take all kinds of things to recycling sites from yoghurt pots and foil to textiles and books.

You can use our search facility to find the most convenient one for you.

Please see below for a list of things that you and your family can bring to the sites for recycling:

If everyone used recycling sites as part of a regular routine we would be able to recycle much more of the waste we create. Next time you go to the supermarket why not 'shop and drop' and take something with you to be recycled.

It might add 5 minutes on to your shopping trip but over time it will stop tonnes of waste going to landfill. If you have children, you will probably find that they love getting involved and helping you!

Please note:
  • Items for recycling should be placed inside the containers - not left next to them.
  • Please flatten cardboard boxes and place any non-card packaging, such as polystyrene in the general waste bin.
  • Any bags or containers used to transport your recycling should be taken back home with you.
