Calling young recyclers in Telford and Wrekin!
Make a poster to promote recycling at home, and you could win a limited edition Telford and Wrekin Recycling Squad soft toy!

Please note that the poster competition is now closed to entries. The winners will be announced on the Recycling in Telford Facebook page during Recycle Week 2022, the date of which is currently to be confirmed following the death of HRH the Queen. Please check back soon for updates.

We all know that recycling is a key part of looking after our planet:

-it preserves natural resources (like trees, metal ore rocks, and oil)

-it saves energy (making a can out of a recycled can uses up to 95% less energy than mining new rocks to make one).

At Veolia, we also know from our work in schools, that children are passionate about looking after the planet and keen to be active in making a difference. So this summer we’re inviting young recyclers to create a poster that encourages people to recycle at home. There are two age categories for the competition: category A, ages 3-6 years inclusive, and, category B, ages 7-11 years inclusive.

Click the dropdown tabs below for more information, and the link to the entry form can be found at the bottom of the page.

The competition closing date is 16th September 2022.

Inspiration

Not sure where to start?

Maybe your poster could include what to recycle and / or why we recycle! It could focus on one particular bin, one key message or be more general. What key messages do you think are important to tell people about?

Get some inspiration in the following places:

-around our website here and here

-the Recycling in Telford Facebook page

-or our recycling leaflet is downloadable here:

We look forward to seeing your poster!
