Nice Recyclers List Competition - Terms and Conditions

  1. The competition will run from 23 November to 11 December 2020, and the winners will be selected by a panel of Veolia staff. 
  2. The closing dates for the competition is 11 December 2020 (please check final dates below for each specific area), and the winners will be revealed on the Veolia website as soon as possible after that date.
  3. One entry only per child.
  4. The competition is open to all children. 
  5. The competition is open to residents in the following areas: London - City of London, Haringey (closing date 9 December 2020), Lambeth, Watford, Westminster. 
  6. This competition is not open to any person directly involved in running the competition.
  7. The letter must include their recycling good deeds.
  8. The letter must be posted on Twitter using the dedicated hashtag #NiceRecyclersList and tagging @VeoliaUK and the local council.
  9. By entering you agree to have the letter published in the local newspaper.   
  10.  Veolia does not accept any responsibility for late/missing entries.
  11. Entrants must supply details as required, and comply with all rules to be eligible for the prize.
  12. Veolia reserves the right to change or cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.
  13. Veolia reserves the right to use, edit or adapt the entries submitted.
  14. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and to agree to be bound by them when entering this competition. This competition is administered by Veolia.

In order to manage applicants and to advise if they have won, we will collect social media names from participants, as well as the name, age and location for each participating entry. We will retain your information for a maximum of 3 years or until you tell us that you wish for your information to be removed. You have the right to ask us for your personal information that we hold and process about you.

You can also request:

  1. that any inaccurate information we hold about you is corrected;
  2. that we delete information about you in certain situations;
  3. that we stop using your personal information for certain purposes;
  4. that we don’t make decisions about you by completely automated means;
  5. that personal data you have given us be provided back to you in a common machine readable format.

If you have a complaint about the way we have handled your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office who is the relevant authority in the UK, or the Data Protection Commissioner who is the relevant authority in EIRE.
