Materials Recovery Facility School Visits

The waste educational sessions we run for Nottinghamshire schools

In partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council's Schools Waste Education Team we run education sessions for school visits. Please see below for details.

We would like to welcome you to the Materials Recovery Facility in Mansfield.

A Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) is where recyclable materials that are collected from households are sorted into different types (e.g. plastics, cardboard, paper, metal) using a mixture of manual and automated methods. When the materials have been sorted they are sent to reprocessors and manufacturers where they are used to create new products.

Working with Nottinghamshire County Council & other organisations, Veolia runs campaigns to help children learn the facts about waste.
Visit us at the Materials Recovery Facility in Mansfield for an educational visits, recycling tour or creative reuse workshop.
