Volunteering activities

To ensure we are able to implement the Government's advice regarding social distancing we will be temporarily suspending all volunteer litter-picking activities. This includes the support we normally provide for individual and group litter-picks, and therefore can neither lend you equipment nor collect your bags at this time.

We are also unable to accept any new volunteers for the  champion and litter picking volunteering opportunities. We will review this regularly in line with Government advice and hope to resume these activities as soon as this public health issue has passed. Thank you for your understanding and support during these unprecedented times.

As a Street Champion you can help keep the borough clean and tidy by picking up litter.
As a Snow Warden you are on hand to help within your local community during severe weather.
As a Composting Champion you will promote home composting, attend community events and offer advice.
As a Community Champion you can help to improve your community, identify anti-social behaviour, littering, fly-tipping and other issues.
As a Recycling Champion you will advise the community about recycling, promote recycling and waste reduction schemes.
The Customer Liaison Group is made up of local residents and groups to share news, ideas and feedback for the various services Veolia operate.
