T&Cs on Reverse of current WTN:

Conditions of Veolia ES (UK) Limited

(hereinafter referred to as “the Company”)

  1. The general conditions applicable to the service shall be the conditions of service printed on the reverse of the Company’s contract for waste service/transfer note (VES033), which are available on request.
  2. The customer shall ensure that all permissions required before containers can be lawfully deposited on the site, including any permission required under the Highways Act 1980, have been or will be obtained before the Customer directs the driver to deposit the container. The Customer’s obligation under sections 139 and 140 of the Highways Act 1980 will be deemed to be incorporated herein.
  3. The customer shall not remove the container from or reposition the container on the site without the consent of the company.
  4. The company’ representative reserves the right to refuse to lift any over-loaded container and the expense of lifting any such container shall be at the cost of the customer including the costs of any abortive journey.
  5. By signing the declaration overleaf, the customer confirms that it has fulfilled it’s duty to apply the waste hierarchy as required by Article 4(1) of the Waste Framework Directive 2008/98/EC and (where applicable) by regulation 12 of the Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 or regulation 29 of the Waste Management Licensing (Scotland) Regulations 2011.

 

NOTE: The customer must ensure that lamps and cones are adjacent to any containers placed on the highway and that during the hours or darkness or poor visibility the lamps are illuminated and at all times properly maintained.
