Building operational resilience and resource security.
Circular Total Waste Management tailored to your business
At Veolia, Total Waste Management means managing all waste streams through one structured system, with compliance, performance and carbon built into how we operate. It is designed around your business, not around separate services or collections.
In many organisations, waste is being handled, but not always in a way that stays controlled over time. As production changes, new waste streams appear, costs increase, requirements grow and processes begin to vary across sites. Veolia replaces fragmented services with a consistent approach that keeps waste controlled, efficient and aligned across your UK operation.
Our Triple Zero Pledge
Delivered as an ongoing service, our Total Waste Management works alongside your operation and adjusts as needs change. As performance improves, the benefits are shared through lower costs, better resource recovery and stronger carbon performance. The Triple Zero Pledge sets out how this works in practice.
Zero Harm
Compliance is built into your waste system, not managed separately, with reporting, audits and regulatory requirements handled for you, reducing risk, effort and disruption across your operations.
Zero Waste
All waste streams are identified, controlled and optimised through consistent handling and resource recovery, reducing landfill and incineration while making better use of materials throughout production and across site.
Zero Carbon
Carbon is reduced through how waste is transported, treated and recovered, aligning waste management with Scope 3 targets and helping turn waste and carbon into a competitive advantage.

Why choose Veolia?
Standard waste services tend to focus on collection alone, but Veolia manages the wider system around waste to reduce complexity and improve control.
- One waste supplier for all waste streams, meaning fewer suppliers to manage and less time spent coordinating
- More consistent compliance and greater recovery of materials and value
- A dedicated contract manager working alongside your teams
This reduces day-to-day effort and helps your teams stay focused on production, growth and sustainability. Our customers consistently tell us that waste costs have reduced significantly and that they have greater confidence in how the system is performing.
Zero Uncertainty. One System. Twice the Impact. Triple Zero Pledge.
Experience in highly regulated industries
In these sectors, waste management involves much more than collection alone. Reporting, audits and regulatory checks can create pressure when information sits across different suppliers and systems. We simplify this by bringing everything into one clear structure, supporting audits with regulators, insurers and external bodies, and giving your team a clearer day-to-day view of performance with less to manage.
The Triple Zero Pledge matters most in environments where compliance, reporting and audits are part of daily operations, including:
Our Total Waste Management service covers all of your waste streams
We identify, manage and stay ahead of regulatory change across every stream for you, so your teams do not have to handle it all themselves. This gives you greater control, a clearer understanding of what your waste streams are worth, and a better way to make the most of them. Examples of waste streams managed through this structure include:
Secure Destruction
Protects your organisation through confidential, compliant disposal while maximising opportunities for recycling and recovery.
Hazardous Waste
Handled safely and compliantly, even for complex hazardous waste, with resource regeneration wherever possible.
WEEE
Managed to maximise reuse and rematerialisation, recovering materials for new products and production uses.
Non-Hazardous Industrial Waste
Reduced reliance on landfill and incineration through better control and efficiency, aligned with current and upcoming regulations.
Hear from our customers
From first impressions to real results, hear directly from the businesses we work with on how Total Waste Management has changed the way they think about waste.
Our commitment to you
At Veolia, we're here to support your business, our total waste management ensures business operations always run smoothly. Hear from Martyn Fuller, Veolia Head of Development for Onsite Services and Industrial Customers.
"Effective waste management starts at the point of production, not the point of removal. Without a structured system at the source, small waste issues quickly snowball, creating friction that results in unnecessary forklift movements, lost floor space, and safety hazards.
Every waste stream is an opportunity to remove this friction, cut costs, and avoid risk. That is why the Triple Zero Pledge sits at the heart of how we deliver Total Waste Management.
We work with leading manufacturers every day, giving you the structure to halt the snowball effect and actively control waste before it disrupts your operations, rather than just managing it after the fact."
- Martyn Fuller, Head of Development - Onsite Services and Industrial Customers
What is the Triple Zero Pledge and what does it mean for my business?
How does Veolia reduce the time and effort needed for compliance and audits?
Compliance is managed as part of the service through Zero Harm, not left with your team. We bring reporting into one place, track regulatory changes and support audits with regulators, insurers and external bodies.
How does Veolia handle waste streams that vary and keep changing?
We take responsibility from the point of production. Before your surplus material even becomes waste we intervene and develop solutions to capture the maximum value of what you don't use, returning material directly to the circular economy and avoiding any additional downstream treatment and recovery costs. The Zero Waste principle is that all materials have value and can be reused or recycled rather than being sent to energy recovery or disposal.
How does Veolia reduce the Carbon Emissions associated with your waste in a way that supports wider targets?
We build carbon into how waste is managed through our carbon tracking tool. We then optimise the process towards Zero Carbon emissions by reviewing waste flows, transport, treatment and recovery options. We help increase carbon avoidance and improve Carbon Hierarchy Score performance, while supporting wider targets, including Scope 3.
What is Total Waste Management?
Total Waste Management is a strategic approach that manages all waste streams through one integrated system - covering collection, compliance, cost control, and sustainability. It replaces fragmented services with a single, accountable solution.
Do I need to change my current processes?
No. Veolia works alongside your existing setup, adapting to your operations rather than forcing change. The focus is on improving performance without unnecessary disruption.
What does a contract manager do?
A Veolia contract manager supports your team by providing structure, oversight, and expertise. They do not replace your internal team - they strengthen it.
How does Total Waste Management reduce costs?
By consolidating suppliers, improving efficiency, reducing waste volumes, and creating long-term resource strategies, Total Waste Management helps control and reduce operational costs over time.
