If you fall within a category of customer that the Government has defined as “vulnerable”, you may be able to reduce your annual metered water charges. Your charges will be capped at £644.00, including standing charges (£303.00 Water, £341.00 Wastewater)
If your annual charge based on actual meter readings is below £644.00, your bill will be based on actual usage. Under this scheme you will not pay more than £644.00 for the year 2026/2027.
Customers that may be eligible are those on state benefit who either have large families (with at least 3 children) or use large amounts of water as a result of having certain medical conditions. Please contact us for further information on 03451 482 909
Discount for Low Income Pensioners
Are you entitled to Pension Credit?
If you have reached the State Pension age and are on a low income, you may be able to apply for Pension Credit. You may also be eligible to have your income topped up by the government.
How does it work?
Every year, we'll discount your bill by 20%.
For example, if your bill is £450, you'll save £90, reducing it to £360.
You don't need to reapply each year or if you move home.
Before you apply
To apply for this discount, you will need a copy of your evidence to show entitlement to Pension Credit or a copy of your bank statement showing the State Pension as your only income.
Any evidence sent needs to show your name and address and be dated within the last 12 months.

The following tariffs may apply for eligible persons where the Company is satisfied (through completion of a means assessment) that the applicant is unable to afford a level of payment that would otherwise apply for services provided to the premises.

For the Assist Social Tariff we would require you to have a means assessment completed by a debt advice service such as Citizens Advice https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/, Money Advice Trust
https://moneyadvicetrust.org/ or similar not for profit organisations.
We would then require the whole report to be shared with us. We will then use this assessment to determine which of the “Assist Levels” you could be placed in.
