Due to highway works on A339, Newtown Road Recycling Centre will be temporarily closing one hour earlier at 6.30pm. This change will only be effective Monday to Thursday for three weeks from 13 July until 30 July.

Seasonal changes mean that winter opening hours will soon be in place at the Household Waste Recycling Centre, Newtown Road, Newbury, RG20 9AG. From Wednesday 1 October until 31 March 2015, the site will be open for residents between 8.30am and 5.30pm.
Residents can now recycle aerosol cans in their kerbside recycling collection following an expansion of the service offered by West Berkshire Council and their contractor Veolia.
