Energy Management contract for Royal United Hospital to meet long term goals
The Royal United Hospital is a 687-bed hospital, which provides acute treatment and care for a population of around 500,000 people in Bath and its surrounding towns and villages in North East Somerset and Western Wiltshire.Employing approximately 4,800 staff, the hospital provides a comprehensive range of acute services including medicine and surgery, services for women and children, accident and emergency services, and diagnostic and clinical support services.
The hospital was looking for an energy management company, which would be able to meet its detailed specification, commercial requirements and tender documentation.The CHP was tendered through the OJEU process and Dalkia, with its 80 years experience in providing energy management to healthcare, was able to achieve the highest scoring in all of the categories.The categories included quality, technical, economic, performance, CO2 savings, engine performance, delivery, operation and maintenance.
